After graduating law school in 2008, Chris worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office in Topeka, KS.  He mainly prosecuted an adult felony caseload and conducted jury trials for cases including but not limited to DUI, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, possession and distribution of controlled substances, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, burglary and theft, domestic violence, rape, criminal sodomy, attempted murder and murder.

In January 2013, Chris moved to the Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office in Leavenworth, KS as an Assistant County Attorney where he charged, prosecuted, and handled appeals for major felony and drug cases, as well as felony traffic offenses.  He conducted jury trials on cases including but not limited to attempted murder, rape, criminal sodomy, aggravated robbery, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, distribution of controlled substances, and felony DUI.  He also wrote appeal briefs and successfully argued numerous cases in front of Kansas Appellate Courts.  

Chris presented on prosecuting drug cases at the Kansas County and District Attorney’s Association Spring Conference in 2014, and on investigating and prosecuting DUI of prescription drug cases at the first Kansas Drugged Driving Summit in 2016.
